Good for Thursday and Friday ONLY KidsGames celebrates this awesome connection with mini-sports-clinics everyday in your child's chosen sport. For five days, from 8:30 am check-in to 12:15pm release, kids will have a whirlwind of activities. KidsGames has been called a Summer Day Camp on Steroids! We are 3 Days into KidsGames Oceanside and it has been a BLAST! Each day we will be posting videos of the Prior Day's fun. The last day is a huge open house where families are encouraged to come and see what their children did all week at many locations around the campus.
Globally, KidsGames has been held in nearly 150 countries around the world has included close to 3 million children. KidsGames strives to bring people and churches together under a common theme to reach thousands of children with sports and electives.
While sports and electives are the vehicle the Gospel is the destination. With a curriculum that focuses on the “Race of Life”, this year, we will explore the life of David in the Bible story time portion of the day.
Sports and electives will include flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, martial arts, hip hop dance, drama, art, photo journalism, scapbooking and whiffle ball to mention a few. You pick your top three choices when you register for Oceanside's KidsGames 2009.
Kids receive a free T-Shirt with a KidsGames logo on it and will get treated to snacks and wild-wet-games. They won’t want the week to end. Sign your children up today and beat the rush! The cost for Kids Games is $30 per child with a Family Discount of $80 for all children within one family. A very special Military Discount is also being offered. The cost for children of Active Military and City Heros (Police & Fire Department) are only $10 per child (Proof of Service required).
KidsGames involves sports and games in three ways:
The sports and games are demonstrated in the Opening Ceremony with the competition played in the days following. The finals are played in the Closing Ceremony with awards and medals given to all participants (not just the winners). In so many ways, children are special. Children are the largest single generation on earth. They have the potential to bring about great good to our world or send it further into turmoil. In years to come they will be the leaders of the world. Through KidsGames they can realize their potential now and begin to express their sporting, creative, leadership and spiritual gifts.
